WHAT ARE THE "SPACES" WITHIN THE DIFFERENT BOOKING OPTION TYPES?

When you create a session you must select at least one booking option (eg, how this session can be booked - in full, in half, by the hour, or as a block booking). For more information on these different booking options, please follow this link, here.

For full, half and hourly booking options, you have the ability to select the number of spaces you would like to make available to that booking option. The total number of spaces you select cannot exceed the capacity of the location where the session is being held. For example, if your location has a capacity of 10 and the session can be booked in full or by the hour, you could choose:
  1. In Full = 8 spaces
  2. By the hour = 2 spaces
This would mean that you are "reserving" 8 of your 10 spaces for full bookings (in other words, 8 out of your 10 spaces in the session can only be booked in full). You may want to do this to keep at least 2 spaces available for flexible, hourly, bookings.

This also helps you to manage the spaces available in your session by ensuring, for example, a parent isn't blocked from booking the entire session, because 1 hour from that session is taking up the space available for it.

The Spaces dropdown is non-mandatory.
